Connect your Dropbox account and select files to train your chatbot on documents you already store in the cloud. InsiteChat downloads, extracts, and embeds your content automatically — your chatbot is ready in minutes.
Connect and train in three steps
Connect Dropbox
In your InsiteChat dashboard, click Connect Dropbox. Sign in to your Dropbox account and authorize read-only access when prompted.
Browse and select files
Navigate your Dropbox folders and select the files you want to import. InsiteChat supports nested folders, so you can select content from any depth in your folder structure.
Train your chatbot
InsiteChat downloads your selected files, extracts text, chunks the content, and builds embeddings. Your chatbot is ready to answer questions in minutes.
InsiteChat uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to Dropbox and requests read-only access. Your files are never stored on InsiteChat servers.

Key features
Browse nested folders — Navigate your full Dropbox folder structure and select exactly which files to import, including files in nested subfolders.
All major document formats — PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plain text, Markdown, and HTML are all supported.
Easy re-sync — Changed a file? Re-sync the source from your dashboard to update your chatbot with the latest content. See Syncing content for details.
Encrypted and secure — InsiteChat connects via OAuth 2.0, requests read-only access, and never stores your files on its servers.
Keep your chatbot current
Your chatbot’s knowledge reflects your Dropbox files at the time of the last import. When files change, re-import the source from your InsiteChat dashboard to sync the latest content.
